An old guardian, worn with sprezzatura
Stone lions have guarded temple and palace gates in China for centuries, and the tradition traveled to Japan, where pairs of shishi still stand at shrine entrances. They're protectors.
We took that old image and gave it a new post: your inside pocket. A lion mid-roar, waves at his back, embossed into leather slim enough to vanish under a linen jacket. Picture it on a café table in Milan, next to a short espresso, or catching the late gold light on a terrace above the Ligurian sea. That's the spirit: well made, never showy. The Italians call it sprezzatura, elegance that looks like no effort at all.
The motif is inspired by that long tradition; we didn't invent it. What's new is the object: the old art, reread for the way you carry now. New objects with old souls.
